| On June 10th 1963 photographer Malcolm Browne snapped this photo in a street intersection in Saigon. The photo of Buddhist Monk Thich Quang Duc was to become world famous. He had set fire to himself in protest at the treatment of Buddhist monks by the US-backed Catholic Vietnam government. |
